ST MAUR'S GLENCAIRN CHURCH OF SCOTLAND, KILMAURS
SC009036

PARISH PROFILE

Although there has been a worshipping community in Kilmaurs since 868 AD with the arrival of St Maura, the present Church building underwent a major reconstruction in 1888.  Cruciform in shape, the simple beauty of the Church is enhanced with four fine stained glass windows.  All are welcome to join us each Sunday morning at 11am or for a shorter and more informal service in St Maur’s Gardens at 2pm on the first Sunday of each month.  Communion is observed on the first Sundays of March, June, October and the last Sunday of December, while baptisms are celebrated during Family services, of which there are several throughout the year; Christmas, including Easter, Harvest, Thinking Day, The Village Gala Day and Sunday School Prize-giving.  Various groups augment the life and worship of the Church, again to which all are welcome.
