The Presbytery of Irvine and Kilmarnock was pleased to announce an event to hear the views of young people within the bounds of the Presbytery.

Due to lack of registrations this event has been postponed. Consideration will be given to the format of future events intended to gather the views of young people across the whole of Presbytery.

Thank you to all who have supported the sharing of information in relation to this event.

This webpage will remain live to share future information about the engagement of young people at Presbytery level.

Notes on how The Church of Scotland is structured

Local churches are managed by Kirk Sessions, the churches in Irvine and Kilmarnock send representatives to form the presbytery to make decisions.  All the churches in Scotland get together once a year and this is called the General Assembly. There is a Youth Assembly which has a strong voice and also meets once a year but no local Youth Presbytery, until now!

Social Media

**It is our intention to film the event with a view to creating a short 3 minute feedback video which will be used across social media channels and to provide feedback to the December meeting of Presbytery.  If you are 16 or under, we will need a completed form from your parent or guardian agreeing to you being in the film.  Forms will be sent by email if you have a place confirmed.  Those over 16 can complete the form themselves and copies will be available at the event.**
