TIMES OF SERVICES
Sunday morning at 11.15am which is currently live-streamed and available on Facebook. In normal times, we have a Crèche, Sunday School and Youth Forum, covering all ages from 0-18+ years.
In normal times, we have an Evening Service which takes place on the Second Sunday of the Month at 6:30pm.
Irvine Mure Relief has a congregation of around 460 and two centres of activity. We have a Town Centre Church in West Road, drawing people from a wider area. Services on a Sunday are at 11.15 am and our Sunday School meets at the same time each Sunday except on Communion Sundays. Our Church presence in the Bourtreehill part of our united parish is home to our “Crossing Together” Community Hub where our recently appointed Pioneer Mission Worker (whose ministry is shared with Dreghorn and Springside Parish Church) is developing community activities and currently working on plans to establish a Church Plant as a fresh expression of Church. We celebrate Communion four times a year in January, March, June and October on the second Sunday in the month. We send out invitations for Special Services e.g. our Advent Service for those who have lost loved ones, which is normally held in the lead-up to Christmas. We normally have Evening Services at 6.30pm during the months of February, April, May, September, November and December. In normal times, we are actively involved in Messy Church in both Church Centres. Our congregation gives generously to local Foodbanks and fund-raises for Christian Aid and other charities. The produce gathered at our Harvest Service goes to the Victoria House, Homeless Shelter. There are many Organisations that use both sets of premises: Boys’ Brigade, the (Bourtreehill) Community Choir, Rainbows, Brownies and Guides. We also offer our (Mure) halls to Irvine Flower Club, a Line Dancing Group, Alcoholics Anonymous, an Orchestra to enable them to rehearse and the Coopers Craft who run a Coffee Day to raise funds for those less fortunate. We also run several social occasions throughout the year e.g. Concerts and a very successful Burns Supper.
